Karbala is a holy city in Iraq, where Imam Hussain (a.s) and other 72 martyrs lay buried after the Battle of Karbala, which happened around 1400 years back.

It is believed that one can visit the shrines of the city only if Maula Abbas (a.s), the brother of Imam Hussain (a.s.) blesses you to visit.

It is a great privilege for me and my family that we were able to travel to Karbala in Jan 2020.

4 reasons why Karbala is the best place I’ve been to

  1. Serene and Calm atmosphere: The shrines at Karbala are so calm that you feel you are in a totally different world. It is as if you are dead and all your worries are gone.
  2. Self-realization: Our guide and Maulana who took us around elaborated a lot of things to us about the holy city and its importance. But one particular piece of advice made a great impact on me.

After you have visited Karbala, you have a responsibility on you to be a good human.

People should sense that you have changed for better after your visit to Karbala.
