Santa Fe, New Mexico: Worth a Visit

We made this city a dedicated trip destination a month before the pandemic started in 2020.

Having never been to the southwest as a couple, we decided to go to Santa FE, New Mexico as a February getaway. As you can see, there was a dusting of snow during our stay.

Santa Fe is a walkable city. We stayed in a quaint motor lodge with an adobe fireplace in our room. A hot breakfast was included that was filling and delicious, as well as offering guests some southwestern flavors like breakfast burritos and salsa. Most of the guests lingered over the breakfast, getting filled up for the day ahead.

From our hotel, we walked all over Santa Fe. Dinner was within walking distance. We ate at Cowgirls twice and had a great barbecue. I also tried a lava lamp drink which was a pilsner beer with a scoop of frozen margarita suspended in it. Delicious!

We were also able to walk to the Plaza in town where there is shopping and more…
