Some Americans Are Wanting to Leave the U.S. and Move Here

With the upheaval going on in the United States right now, many Americans are throwing up their hands and expressing just wanting to take a break from it all — an amazing 17% actually — a pretty staggering number I thought as this equates to around 20 million people.

This is according to a survey conducted by Talker Research: The top 10 countries Americans want to leave the US for. And the real shocker? Surprise, surprise. Guess which country tops the list? Canada. Isn’t that something with all the, um, issues going on right now.

But that’s not the only reason. Americans cite the rising cost of living, the death of the American Dream, a wobbly economy, and just the overall stress of living in the United States these days. People are seeking out places where they perceive that the cost of living will be more fair and there are things like free health care to provide peace of mind when it comes to the most basic of human needs, as Shawn Forno wrote about in I Finally
