The Many Joys of Mexico City
We’re already looking forward to going back!
My first two times here, I was solo. For this visit, we finally found a time when my partner could be with me. I was hoping with all my heart that he would enjoy it as much as I do. He did!
What’s not to like?
CDMX [Ciudad de México], as it is widely known, has so much going for it. If you have been there, I believe that you will concur. If you have not seen it, I hope that I provide enough information so that you put it on your places-to-go list.
Our two-week visit was nowhere near long enough.
These are the aspects, in no particular order, that I love about CDMX:
Culture
As an urban-oriented person, I always need the kind of mental stimulation that is provided by cultural activities such as museums and performances. CDMX has superlative museums on offer for residents and visitors alike.
A friend who was familiar with it recommended that I visit the Museo de Arte Popular. Okay, then: folk art? I wondered. I must admit that I did not hold out much hope for this one. But when I got there, I thought it was spectacular!
