They say the best moments aren’t planned — Well, I might take this saying a bit too seriously when I travel…

One of my favorite ways to plan my trips is to never plan a travel itinerary in the first place. When I go on vacation, everything has to feel as smooth as possible. Every decision has to come from my heart. The whole idea of being strict with my plans makes me feel like I’m at work following rules that are boring and unnecessary, and that is something I try to run away from the most I can when I travel.

That means that instead of writing down a list of things to do on Day One, Day Two, Day Three, etc., I simply choose to go about my trips differently… So this is what I prefer to do instead.

The importance of good planning

Of course, there are a few mandatory things you need to plan beforehand so your trip is not ruined by a lack of good planning. Notice how I mentioned “Good planning”…

I’m not going to pretend I just hit the “book” button and go to a new place without proper planning. For this reason, I like to say that there is a huge difference between good planning and a strict travel…
