The Sparkling Blue Waters of Sapphire Beach Are Stunning
Surpassing Bermudian blues, this Caribbean water sparkles like a gem
We lucked out when we chose a hotel to stay in on St. Thomas in 2023. Our condo unit, which we returned to in 2024, was steps from the pristine beach, known as Sapphire Beach.
St. Thomas is mountainous and many accommodations have steep walks to the beach or even require a drive. To find this property, which was not only steps from a sandy beach but was extremely beautiful and clean, was one of our most fortunate travel finds.
Sapphire Beach has become our Wisconsin winter escape!
As you might guess from its name, Sapphire Beach sparkles just like a sapphire gemstone. The blues that vary from the crystal clear sky to the shimmering Caribbean water are some of the prettiest I’ve ever seen.
That’s saying a lot when I’ve been to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world like Kapalua, Nipili, Horseshoe Bay, and others that are also surrounded by the bluest of blue waters.
