Three Days in Tokyo: The World’s Largest City
I barely scratched the surface
After a long 16-hour flight from Toronto to Tokyo, and another hour-long wait in line to get through customs and immigration, all I wanted to do was get to my hotel and sleep.
But first, my friend and I needed something to eat so we quickly found a great Izakaya or pub near our hotel in the Ginza district and had a beer and some crispy chicken skin, and grilled yakitori. It was just what I needed to get through the night.
The next morning, despite cold temperatures and steady rain falling, we went exploring around our hotel in Tokyo’s famous shopping district of Ginza. Every high-end retailer you can imagine has an outlet here and the architecture is spectacular.
