My Impressions after Three Months in the City that Rivals Venice in Romantic Charm

If someone had told me that I would enjoy Turin so much, I would have had a hard time believing them. As someone who has lived abroad for a significant portion of my adult life, I have never viewed my own country as a place to live but rather as a destination for visiting and relaxing, while also never missing a chance to point out its societal and political weaknesses. However, all the friends and acquaintances I had who lived in Turin always spoke highly of the city, and now I understand why!

To my greatest surprise, Turin has struck me as the first Italian city where I could potentially imagine myself living — if I ever had to give up my nomadic lifestyle and return to my home country ;) An idea I’m not contemplating anytime soon.

Situated in the Po River Valley and surrounded by the majestic Alps, Turin offers breathtaking panoramic views and serves as an excellent base for exploring the region’s natural beauty and ski resorts.
