Hello to everyone in our travel community here at Globetrotters on Medium!

Hope you are doing well!

So, let’s cut to the chase here. I really want to know what you think about all this AI for writing, um, conundrum, if that’s the right word to use. As much as many of us tried to deny it in the beginning, or hoped it would go away, it’s here to stay and must be dealt with.

As a publication editor, AI for writing is up close and personal — in the faces of me and my fellow editors ALL the time. It gets exhausting and tedious. It gets annoying and hairsplitting. It becomes a colossal waste of our precious time on Earth and all of the time we spend volunteering to edit and publish stories. We aim not only to publish stories but to maintain a travel community of real humans connecting with other real humans.

That’s really what it’s all about at the end of the day. Real travel experiences for real people.

And it’s important to distinguish that I’m referring specifically to AI for writing here. I’m not going to discuss AI for the health care industry or for the travel industry as a whole. Or even…
