It’s been a while since we talked about our G-Room, and guess what? We’ve got an event for Globies — “G-Patio.” Today, we’ve got “Mill,” a talented Globie and an incredible artist who loves drawing. She was a facilitator for one of the sessions who will guide us into the latest G-Patio experience.

“Hi, everyone! I am Mill, an Educational Consultant and a hobbyist artist. I have been part of Globish for more than a year now. At Globish, I have had opportunities to attend workshops, training sessions, and fun activities. Through these experiences, I have learned many new skills and had the chance to connect with experts in various fields.”

“Mill”, our facilitator in the session “Basic Drawing” from the Educational Consultant Team.

“Last month, Globish organized an event called ‘G-Patio,’ open to all employees as a way to break from the routine and explore new skills beyond our regular work. I was thrilled to be chosen as one of the facilitators, alongside three others, to conduct four different workshops! Specifically, K. Taepal led a workshop on crafting custom herb inhalers, K. Phat hosted a session on creating straw pillows for bed-ridden patients and elderly persons, and K. Chon delved into the mysteries of lucky or unlucky phone numbers. The diversity of these workshops added excitement to the ‘G-Patio’ event, offering a range of creative and hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy.

The response was overwhelming, with all workshops fully booked within just two days by our enthusiastic Globies, including my character drawing session!”

G-Patio, space where Globies connect, share passion, and build community beyond the work routine.

“As a self-taught artist, being invited to lead a drawing workshop was both an honor and a challenge. It was challenging to turn experiences of drawing into a simple step-by-step guide for the participants. In addition to my personal experience, I gathered extra tips and tricks from fellow artists on the internet and everywhere I can, creating a mix of my own learning and insights to make the workshop enjoyable and informative for everyone.”

“During the workshop, on drawing Chibi characters and pets, we also had a great time sharing our art experiences and discussing our different perspectives on art.

I’m delighted to see that everyone is enjoying the process of drawing, emphasizing that in art, there’s no strict right or wrong. Much like handwriting, it’s truly wonderful if their drawings didn’t mirror mine precisely. What matters is finding happiness in what they create, making each drawing perfect in its own unique way.”

The participants were actively engaged, and their drawings turned out truly impressive, showcasing their unique styles.

“After the workshop concluded, I got a chance to know the feedback from the participants, discovering their responses surpassed my expectations. Many expressed gratitude for learning more than they had anticipated, leaving them inspired to continue their artistic pursuits. They also appreciated the opportunity to explore their creative side with me. These sentiments undoubtedly made my day extra special and filled me with pride as a facilitator.

In conclusion, G-Patio was more than a typical workshop event; it became a celebration of laughter, learning, and artistic exploration, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.

My journey as a facilitator was a precious experience where I learned to lead a workshop, gained confidence, and exchanged my passion with those who are interested in the same thing as me.”

Reflecting on this, I encourage all office workers to grab opportunities for growth — embrace new challenges, join events, and discover skills and connections.

” The workplace is not just for professional development; it is also a canvas for personal growth when we try new things. Within these experiences, we will find the unexpected, unlock potentials, and contribute to our professional lives.” — Mill
