Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger and Freeholder Jim Jefferson will attend the NJ Department of Agriculture’s Jersey Fresh Spring Kickoff Thursday, May 4, at 10 a.m. at Grasso Girls Farmers Market in Mullica Hill.

“Our produce growers are vital to the economy of Gloucester County,” Damminger said. “I have lived in Gloucester County all of my life and the beginning of Jersey Fresh season is always an exciting time. I am anxious to enjoy the local produce that will become available in our local farm markets and supermarkets.”

“We are honored to have the secretary of agriculture here in Gloucester County to kickoff the Jersey Fresh Spring season,” Jefferson said. “Agriculture has always been a tradition in our county and there are more than 100 producing farms and we want to do everything we can to help promote them.”
