National Day of Dance for Health at The Deptford Mall
Dancing, health screenings, and discussions about health hosted by Inspira Health Network
Inspira Health Network welcomes families to the free National Day of Dance for Health event on Saturday, Feb. 11 at The Deptford Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Studies show that dancing offers significant protection against cardiovascular disease as you age. While interval training is a key factor, social interaction has proven to be a great attribution, as it has an effective influence on a person’s mood and stress levels. Other health benefits of dancing include weight control, lower blood pressure, higher HDL (“good”) cholesterol, and lower risk of diabetes.
The event, held in the center court of the mall, will feature several dance performances and many with audience participation. Free health screenings, heart disease education and other important health topics including nutrition counseling will also be offered.
The 2017 National Day of Dance is presented by Inspira Health Network and the Spirit of Women Hospital Network. For more information, call 1–800-INSPIRA or visit www.Inspira.SpiritHealth.com.
