Dancers from Jazz Hands Dance Academy performed a dance celebrating international culture at National Day of Dance for Health.

Inspira Health Networks hosted a National Day of Dance for Health event at Deptford Mall last month, offering free health screenings and information while celebrating performances from dance studios across the county.

The event had multiple tables for information on heart disease, nutrition counseling, and other important health topics.

From left are Erin Mays, 8, Kyle Mays, 6, and Maura Mays, 11, from South Jersey Scottish Highland Dancers in Woodbury, performing a traditional Scottish dance for the audience at Deptford Mall.

Audience members were able to watch, and participate, in dance performances by Fit to Dance Studio, Scottish Highland Dancers, Jazz Hands Dance Studio and more. The event was closed by a performance from the Philadelphia Mummers’ Quaker String Band.

Miss South Jersey Outstanding Teen Taylor Veigel, 16, from Blackwood, performed her talent at the Day of Dance for Health event.
Dressed in this year’s winter themed costumes, the Mummers hosted a sing-along dance party for all to join in.
