“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” — Mother Teresa.

After reading this quote by Mother Teresa, I am also inspired to refer to the book, ‘Youth: A Time of Promise and for Effort’. by Shri P. Rajagopalachari, the third Guide of Heartfulness. He says, when we drop a stone in a pond, the ripples spread. He says all great changes come from a single person. He says one candle is enough to light a room and we don’t need a thousand candles. From that one candle, we must be able to light other candles. We don’t need more match sticks. So once, one candle is lit, we can light a million candles.

He also mentions to the youth, “One seed gives one tree, but a tree gives millions of seeds. So, all of you must be like that. Each one of you is a seed in the future. And if that seed is rightly nurtured, rightly allowed to grow, it can become a tree which will give millions of seeds.’

The above reference of a seed or the candle can be applied to even marriage amongst youth who are on this spiritual path. In the book, Designing Destiny by Kamlesh D. Patel affectionately called Daaji, there are ideas about vibratory compatibility at conception. Daaji, the current Global Guide of Heartfulness, mentioned in his book that “it’s not the time or place but the attitude of the couple at the moment of conception that matters. At the time of conception, based on the vibratory level of those two, the soul with that corresponding vibratory level will embed itself, just as at the moment of exit our vibratory level decides the corresponding dimension. Likewise, a soul of that category will descend into the womb that has the specific vibratory level, it matches. No place can play a part in it, no time can play a part in it, but the attitude of those two will make all the difference”. So, this means that if both partners meditate and develop the right attitude, it is possible to design the destiny of the family at that time.

I came across this aspect of ‘Founders Trap ’ mentioned by Aditya Barella in the virtual event of ‘Global Youth Volunteer Program’. “The term ‘Founder’s Trap’ is meant to describe the moment when the founder is beginning to inhibit growth and success, despite best intentions. According to the logic they can either choose to keep control or hand the business over to someone better equipped to take the business to the next level.” As per my understanding basically, he was trying to convey that one needs to avoid this trap when working together in a youthful community and respect another person’s talent or capability and allow that person to contribute his best.

Even Daaji has clearly mentioned in his book, ‘Designing Destiny’, that, “when the black marketeers in Assam know how much tea he has to stock in the warehouse. He releases this data to somebody in South India, to somebody in Dubai and they tie it up. They are connected for profit. Terrorist organizations, for example, are also well connected. The mafia respects each other so much that they share their data. So when they are well connected, So, why not spiritual people”. So he emphasizing that we purify ourselves. How do we purify ourselves, he’s suggesting that through Heartfulness Practice of Meditation, Rejuvenation and Bed Time Prayer as prescribed.

So, let us try to clean our past baggage of negative tendencies that is, hatred, jealousy, prejudice, and light the lamp of divinity within us and coexist with other human beings, identifying that we are all from the same source. Let us join hands together to pray, meditate and cooperate with our global guide and be a part of his vision of the next five years.

Due to the current pandemic situation, Heartfulness has come up with many virtual Global Youth programs.
