One word to shut them all up.
One word to render chaos to harmony.
One word to induce sense into all minds.
One word to make them all wander.
One word to bring peace upon all.
One word and all noises fade away.
One word then absolute attention happens.

I wish it could’ve been possible to redact this whole article using silent language, to prevent you from even listening to that voice in your head when you’re reading. No words, no tone, no accent. Just calmness, feeling, and sensation. What do I mean exactly? you may ask.

Too much noise in the Earth’s atmosphere. It’s overwhelming. How did we end up like this? Everyone keeps talking about carbon emissions and its effects on climate change and our ecosystem. What about the impact of the increasing level of noise we’re producing? Radio waves, engines, media, adverts, etc. Channels upon channels of broadcasting. What about it?

It’s obvious, no one likes noise! that’s a fact. But how much do we value silence? We are so used to the echo in today’s world that we barely see its disastrous impact on our lives. Many people can’t sit by themselves and think about everything and nothing, in peace. There’s always some form of internal or external noise: Personal problems, Family problems, workplace issues, social media, news, gossip, politics, religion, money, etc and the most unbearable one is the doctrine of success.

Our anxiety breakfast cup gets bigger and increasingly filled every day. It’s true, no one can control the general noise. The wrong is already done and we’re living with it. How about your internal noises then? Can you shut them up?

I value silence more than food guys. It might sound like an idiotic thing to say but I mean it. Give yourself a minute; find a quiet place to sit, then try to grasp all the good things in your life that you were able to achieve in silence and because of silence. Many people after eating become unnecessarily agitated. “Man! weren’t you quiet a minute ago!” Now, he has energy so you can’t get a hold of him until the next time he’ll become hungry again.

Noise creates illusions.
Silence brings truth.
Maxime Lagacé

Well, it only takes a minute of silence to get a better understanding of a person or a situation. It’s always from silence, that the best solutions and bright ideas emerge. It’s by silence one defines peace. Silence is very fundamental to our survival. Even the truth is in the silence. I’m not talking about the right and the wrong. I mean the truth about oneself, the truth about others, the truth about a situation, the truth about God, the truth behind the why, and even the truth about silence itself.

Some folks can’t leave in silence. It’s unbearable for them. They trade the benefit of peaceful thinking and harmony with nature to avoid loneliness. Two to five minutes of silence and they are bored. They quickly run to social media. Best case, fall asleep. The type of people always open for talking sessions, to hang out, to dock where loud music and crowds are, just to feel alive. If there’s no noise in their surroundings, they find means to produce it. And they wonder why they never made good decisions throughout their lives.

Silence projects respect. That’s why when you go to a silent place, you get internally humbled to abide by it or, at least, act low-key. The most silent people are the most intriguing, feared, and respected. They listen to learn and only talk to impact. It’s not rocket science. Just learn how to keep it shut and wisdom comes along progressively. Ask yourself how much you can learn if only you practice staying back and observing in silence. How much you can change your life for the better if you often allow your mind to ignore every internal noise and listen to the divine guidance in you?

If you can’t stay in silence, learn how to write. If it doesn’t help, practice diving into a pool. If you don’t have a pool, often go out of town and spend some time there. The objective is to find your place and time of absolute silence where you let the God in you take control and manifest. If you do that long enough, you will restore your internal peace and intuition: These are your best tools to recalibrate your life.

Peace will compel you to put your life and your surroundings in order. Intuition is the gate to the ultimate sense. It’ll help you understand better and deeper. You’ll feel what decisions to take and ultimately, actions that apply to them. Peace and Intuition will help you equalize your relationships and more importantly, keep yourself mentally and physically healthy.

I figured there’s less advantage in only reading a lot about silence than practicing it so let me stop here and return to my silence. Sense is common, whoever hears it acknowledges its veracity. Do as much as you can to invite silence more into your life and enjoy the tremendous transformation it’ll produce.

Thank you for reading. And as usual, don’t forget to follow and make rain some claps if you like the advice. If something isn’t okay or you’d like to add more insights or share your experience regarding the topic, feel free to put it in the comment and we’ll get along. Peace✌!
