Not too long ago, working as a freelancer or starting a company would have seemed like a very lonely path

Although there were quite a few people who did this, it was mostly at their own homes or rented offices. Meeting new people was a rare event. This problem no longer exists, thanks to the concept of coworking spaces.

Coworking space is a working environment shared by individuals from different organizations and professions. The various categories of business entities that work out of these places include start-ups, established companies, freelancers, remote workers — almost every kind you can think of. BHIVE Workspace is one such place that I have had the chance of working from.

Coworking spaces help you connect with other like-minded individuals. The potential of such connects is just immense. You could meet your co-founder for the business that you’ve always wanted to start. Or you could find that mentor you needed for your existing startup. You could also collaborate with a startup who is excellent at what they do. There’s even a chance that you could run into an investor who loves your idea, right at your workspace.

Then, there are these social events with high-profile guest speakers, which again expose you to more awesome folks. And if you are looking for new hires, your co-working space contacts are your quickest bet. Co-working spaces make it easy for you to build this super-amazing network of entrepreneurs with unique skill sets, which could be of great help in the future.

The world is full of like-minded people. And the funny part is, it’s still not easy to find them. The benefits of surrounding yourself with like-minded people are infinite, something you can believe once you experience it. Coworking space would be great start!
