The World Association of Newspapers (WAN) is a non-profit, non-governmental association of 76 national journalism associations, 12 press agencies, 10 regional media organizations and editors and journalists in 100 countries.
Founded in 1948, the association represents more than 18,000 publications on five continents. Newspapers are about a business based on an estimate of 1.6 billion readers per day. As a newspaper, I am able to drive publicity with a second percentage of the world (29.8%), higher than radio, public disclosure, cinema, magazines and the internet. Combined with periodical magazines, printing is the largest advertising medium in the world.

The WAN’s Purposes

One of the goals of the association is to defend and promote the freedom of press and the economic independence of newspapers (a prerequisite for such freedom), to support the editorial development of printed paper in the world by promoting communications and contacts between newspaper editors different regions and cultures, foster cooperation between the participating organizations at national, regional or world level.

How to reach the goals

The association represents the printed paper industry in all international discussions on media issues in order to defend both the interests of print freedom and the professional and publishing business. It also promotes a global exchange of information and ideas on producing the best and most profitable newspapers.
It is opposed to all kinds of restrictions on free flow of information, newspaper circulation and advertising and along with it is vigorously battling violations and obstacles to freedom of the press. Last but not least, it helps the newspapers in developing countries through training and other cooperation projects by providing legal, material and humanitarian channels to journalists and journalists who are victims of crime.

The fair is divided into two areas communicating with each other, relating to printing and digital content.
Whether you are a publisher or a printer, you will have the opportunity to find out what’s new for the publishing industry, whatever the field they are.

In addition to the exhibition halls, where the most important solutions providers are located, throughout the event, there will be presentations and presentations on the future of information.
