DAOstack brings Decentralized Governance to Gnosis

Gnosis is proud to announce that it is entering into a partnership with DAOstack. Together, Gnosis and DAOstack will build autonomous, self-governing, reputation-based communities that empower millions of users on their platform. Martin and Matan, founders of Gnosis and DAOstack respectively, have had a close relationship for many years. They were united in their shared passion for decentralized governance. Consequently, Gnosis was an early seed investor in DAOstack.
Introducing DAOstack
DAOstack is designed to catalyze the future of collaboration. It’s a platform for decentralized governance that enables collectives to self-organize around shared goals or values, easily and efficiently. DAOstack is sometimes called an operating system for collective intelligence, or a Wordpress for DAOs.
The platform, which launches in spring 2018, includes a modular smart contract framework, a friendly JavaScript developer environment, and an intuitive user interface that allows anyone to participate in a decentralized organization without technical knowledge.
The project endeavours to use crypto-economics and best mechanism design practices to create moment-to-moment micro-incentives that, when multiplied across thousands of individuals and millions of moments, creates a macroeconomic climate that enables crowds to collaborate more resiliently and efficiently than legacy organizations.
Integrating DAOstack with Gnosis
DAOstack will be integrated into the Dutch Exchange (DutchX), giving Magnolia token holders the opportunity to govern the exchange. The team behind the product envisions the DutchX Magnolia tokens to be mapped to a reputation system implemented on the DAO stack. The flow of reputation will reflect each token holder's relative contribution to the exchange. Reputation will then translate into voting power on proposals made by Magnolia token holders on product features and organization decisions.
DAOstack will also allow the Gnosis team to decentralize decision-making within the ongoing Gnosis X challenge, encouraging developers to build prediction market applications on top of Gnosis. Using DAOstack, the community will vote on and curate the best dApps submitted.
With the DAOstack framework, users will be empowered to own Gnosis products, and to build as well as maintain the community they want to be a part of.
