Mob Programming
Last week I went to the first 7CTOs conference here in San Diego and I had the pleasure to attend to a very inspiring presentation about mob programming from the creator of the concept, Woody Zuill.
This concept resonated with me very strongly, as I think it is a great approach to building software today.
I got very curious and excited about the whole concept and started thinking on ways to try to implement the approach in the projects that we are working on.
I wanted to channel the energy this new knowledge generated and I came up with a little project/experiment. The question: How cool would it be to collect information about the experiences that companies are having by implementing mob programming as their methodology for building software.
In an attempt to facilitate the information collection and sharing process I created the Mob Programming Interview Form and a Mob Programming Map
Mob Programming Map
This is a google map, that will be used to show the location of the companies that are currently using mob programming.

Mob Programming Interview Form
This is a google form for capturing the knowledge of teams that are using mob programming
If you are reading this and your company/team is using mob programming please feel free to fill out the form, or if you know of someone who is practicing mob programming please share this with them, I’d love to hear what they have to share.
The goal of this interview is to collect information and share it to the world. I think mob programming is a beautiful step forward towards improving not only the quality of the software that we build but also to improve the experience of the engineers who are building software.
Any feedback about this, please feel free to share.
