Product Strategy Checklist
At Empirical, we have two main types of engagements:
- 1) when we help early stage companies or entrepreneurs build a brand new product from scratch and
- 2) when we help teams that are more established, in this case the team knows what they need and we simple add more dev power to them and we become part of their team.
In the first case, we often find founder(s) with a tech product idea that are ready to start building the product right away. We see this not only with first time entrepreneurs but also with founders with previous experience.
We have put together a checklist with some of the methods and activities we execute early on when we start a new project.
Our hope is that by sharing this we can help someone have a little insight on all the aspects that we believe should be considered when starting a new product development process.
Feel free to share to anyone you may think it can benefit from it.
NOTE: This is not our process, we use our own empirical / agile process based on a number of other well tested approaches and methodologies, like design thinking, user centered design, lean startup, customer development and others.
