Admittedly, I’m not a cartoon nor really even a follower / fan of female superheroes. What I’m, is a feminist heroine fanatic! Knowing that these women are being created, shared, and appreciated by girls and women alike: it’s heartening. We are seeing less hyper-sexualized white women at the center of these narratives! Last year there was this article in Marie Claire that shone a light on a few of the bad-ass women and girls gracing more pages of inspiration.
