A Month in the Life of Remote Year

What’s an average month on Remote Year life? Anything but. [VIDEO]

It’s hard for me to explain what Remote Year is like (well, was like. I just finished a week ago). The only ones who really get it are the ones that do it. My friends and family see my pictures from wonderful side trips or delicious street food stalls, but they don’t see the hours in front of a laptop working or any of the other unpleasantness, like trips to the hospital or times of questioning and loneliness. Remote Year is just, well, life…but with rotating, disparate scenery, incredible experiences in between work, new relationships with a community also interested in travel, and the opportunity for creativity in or building or transforming your life and work.

I took one second of video from every day of my last month of Remote Year in RY3 Cousteau. Every group is different, but maybe this will help to give a sense of what an “average” month was like for our group.

(One thing is clear: we really like karaoke).
