Introducing The Goal3 LockDrop
Goal3 is set to launch its Mainnet on zkSync Era with a lockdrop program.
Overview
As Goal3 is now ready to onboard millions of users on zkSync Era Mainnet, we are giving the chance for our early supporters and community members to participate in this exciting new chapter.
Participants will be able to earn Goal3’s native tokens fairly by locking a certain amount of capital up for a specified period. In exchange, they will capture the majority of the token initial circulating supply.
Enters the distribution phase, which will consist of 2 lockdrops with 5% of the total $ZKG supply distributed in the 1st lockdrop. The amount of $ZKG distributed will be calculated on a pro rata basis, taking into account the amount of locked-up collateral and the lock duration (vault type). The final allocation will only be shown after the lockdrop has ended.
The lockdrop will not be a token sale where participants exchange tokens for $ZKG — we are offering participants the opportunity to earn tokens fairly by providing the initial liquidity to backstop the sportsbook.
By the end of the vault duration, user’s initial capital will be fully returned, along with an additional allocation of $ZKG tokens.
There are three different vault options available, each with a different lockup period:
All locked positions will be immediately vested in our stablecoin, $zkUSD, at a 1:1 ratio incrementally upon locking. Participants can choose to withdraw their collateral at their desired timeline, or withdraw them all at once along with $ZKG rewards after the lockup period has ended.
$ZKG Token Details
Goal3 token economics utilizes an escrow system, which aligns the incentives of core stakeholders and creates a self-sustaining flywheel of liquidity.
Goal3 uses 2 tokens to manage its utility and governance:
$ZKG— ERC-20 utility token$xZKG— ERC-721 governance and value-accruing token
When users lock up $ZKG for $xZKG, they receive 75% of the revenue generated by the sportsbook. As $ZKG has a capped supply, an increase of locked positions makes the token deflationary.
With the first lockdrop and an eventual airdrop, a majority of the Goal3 initial circulating supply will be in the hands of the community. We believe this is a noval launching mechanism that prioritizes fair distribution of tokens.
