I work for a Japanese company, but I’ve been given the possibility to work from my home country, France. It’s an amazing opportunity and one more benefit of working as a Developer. However, it’s a benefit that can also be challenging due to the time zone difference and communication hurdles.

I’ve noticed that many people refer to themselves as Nomad Developers, seamlessly working for their company while exploring different corners of the world. It’s intriguing to see how technology enables us to maintain our job roles despite geographical distances. Additionally, there are those who choose to receive their salary from their home country while residing in nations with a lower cost of living. This allows them to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle without compromising their work.

For me, the idea of working from France while being employed by a Japanese company presents an exciting opportunity. It’s a chance to embrace the best of both worlds — leveraging the experiences gained from working in Japan while enjoying the comforts of home.

While there are challenges, such as aligning schedules for meetings and adapting to a different work culture, the potential for personal growth and the ability to experience different professional landscapes outweigh the obstacles.

This global shift towards remote work in the tech industry has opened doors that were previously unimaginable. It’s a testament to the adaptability and flexibility of the field. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
