• Tron is a decentralized entertainment and content-sharing platform which uses blockchain and peer-to-peer (P2P) technology. It can be considered as a next-generation social media outlet on that you’ll be able to produce and share content with anyone, anyplace around the world. Tronix(TRX) is the main token of TRON’s blockchain.

TRON Facts

TRON Foundation is the non-profit organization behind the TRON

• Tron was founded in September 2017 by a Singapore based non-profit organization called the Tron Foundation. It is headed by CEO Justin Sun, and has a dedicated in-house development team that includes renowned technology stalwarts.

TRON network allows user to act as a content creator and owning their data

• Using the TRON cryptocurrency’s ecosystem, not only you can share content with other people, but you are compensated as a content creator for the content and data that you create. It’s obvious that it’s in the contrary of what socail media giants such as Facebook, Google and others do by monetizing user data. They often do it without the user knowing, reaping in the benefits for themselves. When users use Tron cryptocurrency, users are in control of their data and they will be compensated for their content.

TRON has built its own P2P Crypto Wallet for Cryptousers

• TRON has recently launched their own wallet mobile application, created in collaboration with Getty.io a community project also running for the SR elections (Tronwallet.me). With TRON Wallet some actions can be taken are the following:

— Send TRX and other utility tokens by entering a wallet address or a QR code
— Request payment in TRX, by creating a unique QR code/transaction
— Freeze, unfreeze tokens and vote for the TRON Super Representatives

TRON has diversified and strong partners within the ecosystem

• TRON has already some big partnerships such as oBike, that is the largest bike-sharing company in Southeast Asia. As part of this partnership oBike created its own token called oCoins on top of TRON blockchain and can be currently used by oBike’s platform.
• Other major partnerships include the one with semi-conductor giant, Bitmain, who is a leading producer and designer of ASIC chips used for Bitcoin mining and Zag- S&W, a leading international law firm that focuses on commercial and corporate law.

Various dApss already built on top of TRON Network

• Various decentralized applications are planned for deployment on Tron to take advantage of the direct, peer-to-peer architecture of the network that eliminates the need for a middleman. One such application that has received a lot of attention is Gifto, created by Uplive, a highly influential and successful paid social media platform in Asia.

TRX Price in the long-run has been suggested at 0.50$ by some TRON fans

• A total of $70 million was brought in for a token supply of 100 billion. For the first few months of trading, TRON (TRX) struggled to break the 1 penny mark, but eventually went on to see all-time highs over $0.20. Price prediction for the Tron cryptocurrency has been a popular topic on Reddit, with many claiming that the size of the market could indicate a long-term price goal in excess of $0.50 — and a market cap of close to $50 billion.
