Why Shopify is a great option for your online store.

There are a few reasons why Shopify is a great choice to start your online store, I’m going to focus on just three of them in this article. There a plenty of options when it comes to web design and e-commerce platforms and I will be writing about a few more in the future, but for now, this is all about Shopify.

  1. Simplicity

Shopify is well known for its simple, no-nonsense approach to e-commerce and dropshipping, with little knowledge on web design you can create a beautiful website with bold modern design in minutes. For the most part, you won’t even need inventory to start an online store with Shopify as it has some of the best dropshipping integration of any online platform I’ve seen.

Shopify is, without a doubt, one of the most accessible platforms to use, and this has been at the core of their business model since the start. Straightforward and easy to use, the platform offers fully hosted plans, and you can link up a custom domain without leaving the site, which is a huge bonus.

2. Point of sale integration (POS)

If you currently have an offline store or plan on selling in person, then the absolute best choice for e-commerce has to be Shopify. While I’m mainly focussing on small to mid-sized businesses, they do cater to more substantial businesses needs.

Shopify offers an all in one solution to link your e-commerce store to their software that tracks physical sales. Alongside this, they offer POS hardware such as retail kits, iPad stands and card readers. The transactions made through these systems effortlessly link to your Shopify account, making it quick and easy to keep track.

3. Support network

The support network for Shopify is excellent and exactly what you would expect from them. On offer is if 24/7 customer support, a help centre for more straightforward generic questions and a forum for community support which is going to offer excellent quality advice when it comes to the technical stuff.

I’ve opened a few Shopify sites for clients in the past, and any issues are fixed swiftly those that don’t usually have an answer from other users in the forum. The only forums I know of that have a more extensive support network are that of WooCommerce and Magento.

If you’re looking for a quick and painless online store set up with excellent customer support and the possibility to link offline sales, then Shopify is a great option and definitely something you should consider. There’s far more great stuff I haven’t talked about in this article so be sure to take a look around their website and other forums to get the most information before you sign up.

If you’re looking for a more scalable option or you’re not a fan of Shopify be sure to take a look at my profile as I’ll be publishing content on other content management and e-commerce platforms soon.
