This is a short complete guide on how to Buy Bitcoin with your Credit/Debit Card then exchange it for GoByte coins on the HitBTC exchange.

Step #1: Register an account on the HitBTC excahnge.

Where to exchange your Bitcoins to GoByte coins if not on a specialized exchange. To register an account on HitBTC exchange, click here. Why we do register here? First of all, because we will have to generate a Bitcoin address where to keep our Bitcoins. As we know, we cannot touch, smell or hold in our pockets the Bitcoins. They are a digital currency. So we need a software called “Wallet” to keep them.

We click on the red “Register” button

After clicking the “Register” button we will be redirected to a page where we sign-up with our email and password. Make sure you setup a good and strong password.

Enter your email and password. Make sure to use a strong password.

After completing the registration, we will have to verify our email. Prove that we are not a bot. Just go to your email inbox and click the activation link. After clikcing the link, everything should be good. You will be redirected to the main page of HitBTC from where you “Sign In” with your email address and the password you set. From there we move to step #2 where we will generate our first Bitcoin address so we can make a deposit. Sometimes, the exchange might send to your email a “Verification Code” of 8 numbers to verify that you are the one signing in.

Step #2: Generating a Bitcoin wallet address.

Now that we have registered and that we are signed in, we should see in the top right corner a big green button that says “Deposit”. We have to press it.

We click on “Deposit”

After clicking on “Deposit” we will see a long list of tokens that the exchange supports. But we are interested into GoByte and Bitcoin, aren’t we?

We click on the “Deposit” logo that is right next to “BTC Bitcoin”. It’s a logo of a coin with a plus.

Now you might wonder what is the difference between “Main Account” and “Trading Account” also what the 2 arrows do. Well, basically your “Main account” is an account which you cannot use to trade with. It’s like a debit account, where you just keep your coins, without being able to trade with them. The “Trading Account” is an account that store funds you are planning to trade with. Don’t worry, your funds are funds in both accounts. Every time you are ready to buy/sell coins, you have to move them from your “Main account” to your “Trading account”. That’s what the little arrows are for. Every deposit you make will go straight to your “Main Account”.

We copy the “Walelt address” that starts with a 1 or 3 in Bitcoin’s case.

Now that we have our Bitcoin address, we copy and paste it in Notepad or somewhere as we will use it in the next step, when we are going to buy Bitcoin with our Credit/Debit card.

Step #3: Buying Bitcoin with Credit/Debit card.

To do so, we go to Changelly by clicking here. And we will see the Changelly page and the words “You have” and “You get” written on two boxes.

The simple interface of Changelly

So, how much USD/EUR you want to spend? How much Bitcoin you want to buy? After you set everything up, just click on the green “Excahnge!” button.

After that, we will be sent to a new page, where we put the our “Bitcoin address” that we generated earlier on the HitBTC exchange. We click “I’m not a robot” (or are we?) then we click the green “Continue” button.

We put our Bitcoin Address, click the “I’m not a robot” and we click “Continue”

After we clicked “Continue” we are redirected to a SSL Secure page. So everything we do on that page is encrypted then deleted as soon as we close the page. Don’t worry, your privacy is important.

We fill all the details and click “Continue”

Here we complete our details. Personal Details like Name, Phone Number, Email and Date of Birth (just to make sure you are over 18). Also we have to complete our Billing Address, like on any other e-commerce website.

We can also see the order summary which contains the amount we buy Bitcoin with, and the Changelly fee, which are the smallest.

The transaction will appear as “SIMPLEX_BITSTAMP” on your Credit Card statement. Don’t worry, is us. Also make sure you checked the “I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy” box.

Finally, we hit the green “Continue” button.

Now you should see a pup-up that is asking you to check your email inbox to verify your transaction and to enter a 4-digit code received as SMS on your phone.

Check your SMS inbox first, as the verification code is valid only for 5 minutes.

After we write the 4-digit code we hit the “Verify” button. From there, we go to our email inbox and click the verification link. If everything has been done right, the “Continue” button should be click-able now.

So, we click “Continue” and we get to the basic payment page. Here we have to write our Credit/Debit Card 16-digit number, the expiry date, our name as it is written on the card, and the CVV.

CVV/CVC is a 3-digit code we find on the back of the card. If on the back of the card we have a 7-digit code, we simply write the last 3 digits, which are usually written in bold.

After we completed everything, we click “Continue” to move further.

According to your bank, a new window might pop-up and ask for an One-Time-Password or SecureCode, which is usually sent by the bank as SMS to your phone number. This way they make sure that nobody else is using your card, and only you can approve the transaction.

The next page, is the “Verification” page. Here we have to take a selfie where you are holding your bank card in your hands. For safety, cover middle 8 digits with your fingers(or use some post-its, but make sure only the middle 8 digits are covered).

The last page is the “Thank You” page where you are informed that your payment request is begin processed. After an agent verifies your transaction and account, your BTC will be sent to you. this takes usually between 5 to 10 minutes, and in some exceptional cases up to 30 minutes.

Looks complicated, but in fact it will take you just a couple of minutes.

Step #4: Buying GoByte(GBX) coins.

Now that we have some Bitcoin into our wallet at HitBTC, we will have to transfer them from the “Main Account” to the “Trading Account” as we spoke earlier.

To do so, we click the “->” arrow, which indicates from “Main Account” to “Trading Account”. The transfer is usually done almost instant. Just wait until the balance updates under “Trading Account”.

After the balance is updated, we click here to move to the Bitcoin -> GoByte pair on the HitBTC exchange.

We should see in the left side the price chart, with candles and some lines. this chart is very useful for advanced traders.

Now, what we are interested into from here is the “Buy GBX” module and “Market” tab to be selected. “Amount” will be the amount of GoByte(GBX) we want to buy, and “Total” will be the total amount of Bitcoins we will have to pay. If you want to buy GoByte(GBX) coins for all your Bitcoins, simply write in the “Total” box how much Bitcoins you have and click the green “Buy Market” buttton. It also calculates the approximately amount you have to pay in Bitcoins and the amount of GoByte(GBX) you will get for that. After you did that, your Buy Order should be filled up immediately, and you should see in the top right corner the amount of GoByte(GBX) coins you have in your trading balance.

Step #5: Withdrawing the GoByte(GBX) coins into your GoByte wallet.

We go back to the “Deposit” page that we accessed earlier in order to get our Bitcoin wallet address. If you don’t remember how, just click the green “Deposit” button on your top right corner. If you don’t want to withdraw your GoByte(GBX) coins, just skip this step. After getting on the “Deposit” page, search for GBX in the top left search-bar.

Here we first select the “<-” arrow which indicates the transfer from “Trading Account” to “Main Account”. We write the amount of GoByte(GBX) coins we want to transfer, and click “Transfer”. After that, we should see in the “Latest transaction” box a transaction which has the “Type” as “Transfer to main account” and has a green verified badge.

Next step is to click on the “Withdraw” button which is the logo of a coin with an arrow pointed to the right. Now we should see the above image. Here we complete the “Amount” with the number of GoByte “GBX” coins we want to withdraw from the exchange, the GoByte(GBX) address to which we want to withdraw the coins (To get a GoByte Address, simply download the MacOS/Windows wallet from here, open it, let it sync, and click on File -> Receive address, there you will have a long string that starts with G.) and optionally the “Authentication code”. You might receive an authentication code on your email, your Google 2FA, or you won’t have the box at all. I use the Googel 2FA app that generates a code every 120 seconds, so I can secure my code. After everything is completed, we click “Withdraw”. You should (or not if you have 2FA) receive an email to confirm your withdraw. You will see in the “Latest transactions” box your withdraw has “***” three dots, this means your coins have left the exchange and should arrive in the next 5 to 60 minutes right into your wallet.

That’s all. You are now a member of the big “GoByte Network” community.
