How to upgrade GoByte Client to v0.16
This tutorial explains the process for upgrading GoByte core client to v0.16.
Step 1:
Close any running versions of GoByte core on your existing device.
Step 2:
Download the new GoByte client from official GoByte github - please verify the GPG keys and checksums to make sure you have correct version downloaded
https://github.com/gobytecoin/gobyte/releases/tag/v0.16.1.1
If you wish to compile from source code, you can do so using the following guide from official GoByte github
https://github.com/gobytecoin/gobyte/tree/master/doc
select the guide for your OS using either
- build-osx.md
- build-unix.md
- build-windows.md
and follow compilation instructions.
Step 3:
Once you have downloaded or compiled the latest version of GoByte client v0.16 simply run the client on your device.
The new client should load and sync automatically.
If you experience syncing issues try running the new client with the command -reindex-chainstate
COMPLETE!
That’s it, your new GoByte v0.16 client should now be up and running!
