GoChain is excited to announce VeriToken, a blockchain platform that enables users to verify, sell and completely control their own data, will be holding their $30M ICO on GoChain!
VeriToken is building a platform that creates a much-needed layer of trust and transparency in the job market as well as industries where the verification of individual information and provenance is critical. Put simply, they are a blockchain protocol enabling verified user-owned data where data brokers can pay individuals for their contact information and time. The tokens allow for privacy and control for individuals engaged on platforms that utilize VeriToken for their social graph backplane. Individuals can choose when their information is in the public domain and when it is hidden. When trusted data is given to centralized corporations, user trust is violated all to often. With data protection regulations such as the EU’s GDPR, data security, privacy and ownership are increasingly significant matters — not just to corporations, but to individuals as well.
VeriToken is led by a rockstar executive and advisory team. The executive team, lead by Devon, Mark and Rob, have several contracts in place on their mission to have 100 million users by 2019. The advisory team highlights include, Benn Godenzi, Etiënne vantKruys, and GoChain’s Jason Dekker and Travis Reeder. They are extremely honored to be a part of such a groundbreaking protocol project solving one of the world’s biggest challenges.
The VeriToken protocol takes great inspiration from ERC-721, which is an Ethereum smart contract standard allowing for compartmentalization and licensing of specific data (made famous by the runaway hit game on the ETH network: CryptoKitties). It also incorporates ideas from data provenance and ownership, both Turing Complete and not, that have been implemented
on blockchains since 2011 (such as DevCoin and NameCoin).
The GoChain team is looking forward to another protocol project to launch on the $GO mainnet. We understand the importance interoperability and protocol standards are for enterprise-level blockchain adoption.
