CNote is proud to announce that we have partnered with a new CDFI, the Carolina Small Business Development Fund.

The Carolina Small Business Development Fund (CSBDF) serves North Carolina and has numerous initiatives around increasing capital access for minority, female, and veteran business owners.

Since 2010 the CSBDF has deployed $44 Million across 607 loans for start-ups and existing businesses and created or maintained 2,029 jobs.

CSBDF is an innovative CDFI with two women’s entrepreneurship centers serving the east and west regions of North Carolina.

CSBDF, through a partnership with Shaw University, has also established an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in Southeast Downtown Raleigh. The Center’s purpose is to: inspire, connect, encourage, and support startups, students and existing entrepreneurs.

See their broad vision in this short clip:

They are helmed by Lenwood V. Long, Sr., along with an exceptional leadership team, that has a clear vision for increasing economic opportunity and leveraging innovative approaches to achieve their initiatives.

We’re excited to partner with such a great CDFI, and group of dedicated people. We look forward to seeing the impact CNote investment dollars will have on the communities CSBDF supports across North Carolina.

Small businesses truly are the engine of the U.S. economy and we’re excited to align with a community lender dedicated to helping more of those critical small businesses succeed.
