Go Cryptobot Strategy Guide 1: The Road to CryptoKing
There is a variety of reasons to play cryptocurrency-based games; however, the factor that attracts the most attention is perhaps “How can one gain tokens faster, and in larger quantities?” With augmented gameplay, Go Cryptobot differentiates itself from its peers that focus solely on collectibles, and is arguably much more complex. Although the gameplay is interesting, one would also come to question how can he/she gain tokens in general? This article is oriented for those users who want to gain more tokens and faster growth. (Check out part 2 here: Strategy Guide 2)
Challenge the CryptoKing with Your Personal Combination
Starting at Level 5
The first task is simple. It is to level up all the parts that you received upon starting the game. Once a part reaches level 5, it obtains a color, skill, and a theme, and is now able to be registered on the market for sale. Currently, GoCryptobot is hosting a launching event, offering an extra basic robot part once a player reaches level 5. Don’t miss this chance and start grinding for free extra parts and experience points through the run mode.
Try Matching Your Colors and Themes
If you have been playing the game through the launching event, you most likely would have gathered 8 robot parts (2 for each body part). You should try different combinations that most closely resembles your desired configuration. Depending on your parts’ combination, you may be empowered with special effects. For instance, when your robot falls into a hole, it can be “rescued” out of it, or your robot can have a magnetic effect that attracts nearby coins, making them easy to collect. If all the parts have the same color, then you are the entitled to the Color Effect. The same idea goes for the theme and Theme Effect as well. If both Color and Theme Effects are enabled, then there is a third special effect called the Combo Effect, so let’s try our best to find the greatest combination possible.
Once you’ve configured your parts, you should come to realize what parts you prefer to use. Thus, now is the time to go find the exact parts you want.
Let’s Collect the Parts
There are two methods to get new parts. The first method is to purchase new basic robot parts at the shop and leveling them up. The other method would be to find the parts of your preference at the Market, and directly purchasing those parts from other users. The former method involves in-app purchasing and gameplay; however, the latter method operates a bit differently. The market is currently being run based on the in-game currency called GCC. When you start the game, we are currently offering 2GCC, and coupons that give users a discount of 1GCC for Market based purchases. As a tip, we recommend users to buy level 19, and level 39 parts, as there are bonus rewards upon reaching levels 20 and 40. Furthermore, if you are short of GCC, you can sell your expendable parts at the Market. So if you don’t need a certain item, you should probably attempt to sell them for newer, more relevant parts.
It is easy to sell your parts. Tap on the Market icon and select the Sell tab. You can even check how much similarly specced parts are selling for, and thus, you don’t have to think too much when it comes to deciding on a good price. However, you should be wary of the 2% processing fee when selling your parts. If you registered a part by accident, then it is easily revocable.
Let’s Not Forget About the Skillset
If you’ve configured your parts’ Color and Theme, let’s start focusing on the parts’ skillset. An exceptional skill set is crucial when it comes to obtaining more favorable results in the run game. For instance, there are skills that revive you once your HP bar reaches zero, or give you additional coins and points on top of your original score, etc. Same skills do stack, and thus, personalizing your parts for your needs plays an important role for finding success. Not only do skill sets have an important role in the run game, but also in the PvP as well. A single part can have up to three skills, and each skill is earned at levels 5, 20, and 40 respectively. Let’s get those levels up and running and obtain all the skills necessary.
Even though you may not have gotten the skills that you desired, do not fret. You can use the Skill Change Card in order to get new skill sets. There are two types of Skill Change Cards. One will change all your skill set randomly. The other one, although more expensive, will guarantee that one of your skills will remain, while the other two will change randomly. Use these cards in order to make the best skill set possible.
Once you’ve reached this point, let’s attempt getting a high score in the run mode. If you can become a top scorer, and make it as one of the CryptoKings, then a bountiful ruby reward awaits you. This sounds complicated, but it’s actually quite simple. Level up your parts and use the Market frequently. That is the only way to make your personally customized Cryptobot.
PvP
Let’s Participate in the PvP
If you have all four robot parts that are level 5 or higher, then you have the privilege of joining the PvP. Honestly, if you are a player who enjoys cryptocurrency-based games, the PvP is something you definitely cannot miss out on. 128 players can placed into four teams, and compete against one another. When joining the PvP, you are asked to answer a question, and based on your answer, you are placed into a certain team. All PvP matches are under regulation by the Ethereum Network’s Smart Contract, and thus, are transparent. This means you can always check the code that decides on the winners of the match if you have problems with the match’s outcome.
How to Score Well in the PvP
As mentioned earlier, the PvP does not involve user interaction. However, what users must decide on before entering the PvP match is his/her robot configuration. The PvP scores are based on your robot’s parts, including their levels, colors, themes, and skill levels. If you want more specific tips on achieving higher PvP scores, then check out the in-game Tips tab. The possible combinations for parts are endless, and therefore, it’s recommended to gather the best parts possible in order to become the MVP in PvP matches.
Level
Each PvP match has four rounds, and each rounds have different events. Each event looks at a different, specific body part. Always try picking the highest level possible for each body part, so that you can achieve a high score in every round.
Lucky Color
The Lucky Color is probably the most important aspect when it comes to the PvP. Each match’s events pick one lucky color in random(out of the two colors revealed before entering the match), and if you match the Lucky Colors with your part’s color, then you receive bonus points. So think wisely, and match those colors!
Skill Level
The skill level is another important aspect. Once your part’s color matches the Lucky Color, it is possible to get bonus points through your part’s skill level. The higher the skill level, the more points you get. The possible bonus points range from 1 to 24, and thus, your skill levels play an important role to differentiate yourself from your peers.
Participate Regularly and Earn Dust
The PvP operates 5 times a day, every 4 hours. If you are in the winning team, then you are rewarded with Dust. If you collect more than 10,000 Dust, then you can exchange it for GCC, so don’t forget and participate in as many PvP rounds as possible. Even if you have “bad” parts, don’t worry and believe in your teammates, as every player is rewarded 30 Dust.
There is one goal to keep in mind in PvP mode. It is to get a higher score, and lead your team to victory, and possibly, become the MVP of your team to collect as much Dust as possible. Whether you slowly, but surely, accumulate Dust, or win big by becoming the MVP will entirely depend on your robot parts’ growth.
We’ve now explored possible methods of gaining high scores in both the run mode, and the PvP mode in Go Cryptobot. What is left is to play the game regularly, and slowly accumulate GCC and rubies as advised in this article. Go on an adventure with your Cryptobot to gather coins and GCC, while rescuing the Doctor while you’re at it!
Last but not the least! Now it’s time to enjoy GoCryptobot.
