Moses fled the Egyptian palace and hid in the land of Midian. Overnight, he had gone from a prince of the most powerful civilization in the Game of Idols to a wanted fugitive.

It was time to make my move.

“I can teach you what to say to him,” Natasha-Lucy snickered from her usual darkened corner.

I cringed, remembering what had happened the last time Natasha-Lucy gave me a speech for my AI’s.

I waved her aside. I didn’t need her; I knew exactly what to say to Moses. Out of all AI’s in my simulated world, no one could relate to me as well as Moses could. No one would ever come close. (Deuteronomy 34:10)

First, I needed to get Moses’ attention. I figured I’d reuse the fireball script I had used on Abraham back in the day. Fire always gets my AIs’ attention.

“Moses,” I said, projecting my voice from the burning acacia bush.
