Hospitality

Providing key insight on the hospitality and travel industries, Louise Daley (Deputy CEO, AccorHotels Asia Pacific) and Maria Nakpil (Ex-VP Regional Marketing and eCommerce, Hilton Asia-Pacific) have collectively over 45 years’ experience across the sector.

Responsible for the financial oversight and management of over 830 hotels with a turnover in excess of €4.5b, as well as non-hotel businesses encompassing vacation ownership, lounge management and subscription loyalty, Louise is knowledgeable and experienced across the breadth of the hospitality and tourism sector. She is on the Board for a number of joint venture businesses, including Huazhu Hotels Group, AAK Korea, InterGlobe Hotels in India and Reef Casino in Australia, and is a regular speaker and panellist at industry events, as well as a member of both the Australian and Singaporean Institute of Company Directors.

A proven senior commercial leader, Maria has a stellar track record of building high-performance Asia Pacific teams into a powerful revenue-driving force and a hotbed for innovation. Under her leadership, they have pursued bold initiatives that challenged the norm, and many have evolved into company-wide global solutions. She is experienced in brand management & marketing, public relations and hotel operations, and has worked for a number of other international hotel groups including IHG and Raffles International, before setting up her own consulting firm, Antiope Pte Ltd.

Together, they are intimately familiar with the current state of the online hotel booking sector and will use this knowledge to help guide GOeureka in presenting a next-gen solution that will shape the industry’s future.

Business

Consulting the team on strategy, finance and vision, Rhenu Bhuller (Partner and SVP, Frost & Sullivan) and Subhajit Mandal (Head of Products, Symbo) bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the team.

A part of Frost & Sullivan’s Visionary Innovation group, focusing on disruptive trends and shaping tomorrow’s business environment, Rhenu has more than 15 years of strategy consulting experience. She has worked with companies globally on market growth strategy, industry convergence opportunities, digital transformation and business model innovation, and as a world-traveller has witnessed first-hand the negative impact of high OTA commission fees on both hoteliers and guests alike.

A fintech entrepreneur and keynote speaker at numerous blockchain events, Subhajit holds a CFA charter as well as an MBA from the National University of Singapore. Whilst working at the innovation arm of MetLife, where he is currently building an end-to-end B2C insurance application on the blockchain, he is also an elected board member of the Singapore Fintech Association (SFA).

With their direction and counsel, they will help GOeureka ensure its commercial and financial models are sound, and as a team remain focused and responsive with their strategy and business development.

Technology

Lending their skills in development and technology, Amarpreet Singh (Blockchain Consultant & ICO Advisor), Andras Kristof (CTO, Yojee Limited) and Trond Vidar Bjoroy (Head of Product Development and Implementation, ATPI) provide a strong resource for the development team.

One of the leading advocates and contributing member of the Global Blockchain community, Amarpreet is a Senior Advisor of Global Blockchain Foundation, the Head of Strategy & Business Development of TokenAsia, an ICOBench rated top ‘Expert’ and an Advisory Board Member of many Blockchain projects around the world. A Technology/Digital enthusiast with years of experience in operations, consulting and innovation, he has worked with Tier 1 firms such as Microsoft (APOC Operation Manager), the World Bank (Senior Infrastructure Consultant and Economic Advisor), and Airbus, as well as advising startups and speaking at various technology forums. He holds a B.E. in Computer Science and three Masters degrees from three Universities around the globe, including an MBA from the National University of Singapore.

Chief Technology Officer at Yojee Limited in Singapore, Andras also serves as Technical Advisor at HelloGold Foundation Limited, and previously founded and worked as CEO and Executive Director at Tembusu Systems Pte Ltd. He is the co-author of the “Handbook of Digital Currency” and provides consulting services for governments, international organizations and companies on blockchain topics, including digital currencies, implementation feasibility, and security. With over 20 years’ experience building scalable systems, he has run a number of successful projects including in Indonesia and Vietnam for Yahoo Southeast Asia. In addition to a Masters in Computer Science from the Maharishi University of Management, he is also a Fellow at SIM University.

With over 19 years’ experience in the travel industry, focusing on travel technology, product development, and business process improvement, Trond has extensive experience in translating business needs into technical requirements. A cryptocurrency and blockchain enthusiast, Trond is a contributor at VentureBeat and The Next Web where he specialises in blockchain projects, ICO/TGEs and the crypto space in general. His articles have also been published at sites like CoinDesk, CoinTelegraph, Tnooz, Emerce, The Bridge, CryptoDaily.co.uk as well as featured on LinkedIn Pulse channels.
