Last year, while traveling with Samaritan’s Purse in West Africa, Greta met a boy in Liberia with a tragic story and a terrifying medical condition: orphaned after his father died from Ebola, Sampson had numerous facial tumors causing deformity, blindness in his left eye and near blindness in his right eye.
Greta decided to help Sampson. Her GoFundMe ended up raising over $150,000 from more than 4,000 donors worldwide who were moved by this boy’s medical crisis. It would have been easy to stop there. But now Greta has a more ambitious goal: to provide Sampson’s home country of Liberia with a CT scanner to save even more lives.
