Throughout GoFundMe’s journey to becoming the world’s largest social fundraising website, one thing has remained constant: there has always been an abundance of deeply inspiring stories on our platform. GoFundMe is not only a fundraising tool — it is a storytelling platform that has the power to connect people to causes they care about. Every donation has a story to tell. We’ve seen friendships form. We’ve powered movements that started small and made a global impact. And, we’ve witnessed changemakers inspire others to make a positive difference in their communities.
Since 2017, we’ve highlighted these incredible stories of both adults and kids doing good in the world every month through our GoFundMe Heroes and Kid Heroes programs. Now, we’re thrilled to bring you even more uplifting stories through the GoFundMe Heroes Hub, where the community can immerse themselves in countless heartwarming tales. For the first time ever, you’ll be able to access all of these stories in one place, in a variety of mediums. Visitors to the GoFundMe Heroes Hub will leave with smiles on their faces, hope in their hearts, and a renewed faith in humanity.
The new GoFundMe Heroes Hub is an extension of the GoFundMe Heroes program and is another way we will shine a spotlight on incredible stories. It will be updated weekly with brand new content featuring the stories of changemakers from all over the world. Scroll through page after page of inspiring stories, or sort by what interests you. With categories such as Animals, Education, Community, Kid Heroes, and more, there is truly something for everyone. You can also listen to our original podcast, True Stories of Good People, directly from the Hub and follow along with the 2019 Community-Nominated Heroes we are honoring at the inaugural GoFundMe Heroes Celebration next week.
