Goggo Network, the European leader in last and middle-mile logistics with autonomous vehicles and robots, and DriveU.auto, developer of a software-based connectivity platform for the teleoperation of robots and autonomous vehicles, announced today that DriveU’s platform has been deployed on Goggo’s operational delivery robot fleet.

DriveU has been selected by Goggo Network to provide its remote operations connectivity platform for Goggo’s delivery robots. The software solution integrates into Goggo’s robot platform to provide high-quality video with low latency. The solution’s cloud-based architecture enables scaling up to a large number of robots, with a view to supporting Goggo’s aggressive growth plans.

The last-mile delivery robot space is undergoing rapid growth, aiming to address increasing customer demand for rapid deliveries.

Goggo’s robots and vehicles are autonomous, with remote human supervision and when needed, intervention — or teleoperation — playing a critical building block in the development, testing, and large-scale deployment of the robot fleet. Remote operation is done over cellular networks, the performance constraints of which present serious limitations on the required quality, continuity and low latency needed for the transmission of video between the robot and its remote human supervisor. DriveU.auto’s technology implements patented cellular bonding and dynamic video encoding, enabling the required performance levels needed for Robot teleoperation.

DriveU’s software-based connectivity platform has been in use by Autonomous Vehicle developers (cars, trucks and shuttles), OEMs, Tier 1s, and developers of delivery robots in multiple geographies and use cases. DriveU is now deploying its platform on Goggo’s rapidly growing robot fleet, to ensure superior and reliable delivery.

“We are scaling rapidly our mixed fleet of robots and vehicles for our current client needs in last and middle mile logistics” said Eduardo Uriarte, VP of Expansion at Goggo Network. “We have found DriveU.auto’s teleoperation solution and dedicated support perfectly suited for our high demand, tight delivery schedule, and safety standards, and are happy to have DriveU as our long-term partner in our journey.”

“DriveU is experiencing accelerated growth in the last mile delivery space” said Alon Podhurst, CEO of DriveU.auto. “We seek out to partner with the leaders in the delivery robot market, in which Goggo plays a dominant role. We are proud and honored to partner with their strong team and look forward to supporting Goggo on its mission.”

About Goggo Network

Goggo Network was founded in 2018 by serial entrepreneur Martin Varsavsky and Yasmine Fage to become the largest logistics operator focused on autonomous and electric fleets in EMEA, by building a Hybrid network of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and Robots for cargo transport, also addressing key environmental aspects like pollution and traffic. To achieve this vision, Goggo has raised over €24 million in Venture Capital funding so far from Softbank and Axel Springer Ventures, and has developed a proprietary platform to automate the logistic chain processes with AVs and robots.
