Goggo Network and Ottonomy.IO have signed a collaboration agreement to carry out last-mile deliveries in Spain and Europe. For the first time, fully autonomous robots with level 4 autonomy will move on public sidewalks in Europe to deliver products to consumers. Goggo has already started deliveries with the so-called “Ottobot”, the autonomous robot developed by Ottonomy, in the cities of Alcobendas and Zaragoza, and will soon extend operations to other Spanish and European cities as new operational areas expand.

With this agreement, Goggo Network, European leader in last and middle-mile logistics with Autonomous Vehicles and Robots, expands its current fleet with the Ottobots. These robots, with a higher payload capacity (up to 100 kg per shipment), allow Goggo to cover a wider spectrum of needs for its customers, from wholesalers and large retailers to restaurants and retailers.

“With Ottonomy now in our fleet, we continue to build our unique, innovative and sustainable last and middle mile logistics services with autonomous vehicles and robots in Europe,’’ says Yasmine, co-founder and COO of Goggo Network. “We selected Ottonomy.IO for its leadership in the development of fully autonomous delivery robots. We are delighted to integrate the Ottobot into our AV fleet, as it enables our network of retailers and restaurants to deliver higher-payload deliveries shipments in an extremely safe and efficient way,” she explains.

Ottonomy.IO, awarded Sustainable Product of the Year 2021 by Business Intelligent Awards, officially launched the Ottobot in January 2022. This was followed in August 2022 by Ottobot 2.0, and in January 2023 by Ottobot Yeti, the first fully autonomous robot capable of making unattended deliveries. Ottonomy has led the autonomous robot market with solutions for retailers and restaurants with its diverse capabilities for airport, curbside, first and last mile delivery solutions.

“We continue to work to create sustainable and efficient solutions for all links in the supply chain,” says Ritukar, co-founder and CEO of Ottonomy. “We chose Goggo because of its unique position as a logistics operator specialising in autonomous vehicles and its leadership in the EU, which unlocks high potential for growth and scalability, and allows us to enhance the functionality and accessibility of Ottobot for end users around the world.”

About Goggo

Goggo Network was founded in 2018 by serial entrepreneur Martin Varsavsky and Yasmine Fage to become the largest logistics operator focused on autonomous and electric fleets in EMEA, by building a hybrid network of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and Robots for last and middle-mile deliveries, also addressing key environmental aspects like pollution and traffic. To achieve this vision, Goggo has raised over €24 million in Venture Capital funding so far from Softbank and Axel Springer Ventures, and has developed a proprietary platform to automate the logistic chain processes with AVs and robots.
