Going Green Together bursaries now available

Thanks to the support of our funders, we’re now able to offer complete bursaries for voluntary, community, and social enterprises to take part in environmental support and training courses through Going Green Together.

All voluntary and community organisations across the North East and Cumbria can apply for bursaries to fully cover the cost of taking part in Become Green Together, our training and support programme which provides carbon footprint calculation, accreditation with Investors in the Environment, and access to a peer support network up to September 2023. To apply for a bursary, simply email hello@goinggreentogether.org and we’ll guide you through the process.

We also have bursaries for County Durham-based organisations to take part in Climate and Carbon Literacy training, thanks to County Durham Community Foundation. Up to one individual per organisation can get this training at 100% discount by emailing the training providers at carbonliteracy@cafs.org.uk. Other individuals can receive this course at our normal 50% off rate. The next course will run on the Monday 21st and 28th November, and we have future courses in January 2023.

Our funders and regional bursaries

The list of funders and available bursaries is as follows.

Community Foundation, in partnership with Newcastle Building Society, are providing 5 bursaries for small organisations in Cumbria, and 5 for the North East, to take part in Become Green Together.

County Durham Community Foundation are providing 30 bursaries for County Durham organisations to take part in Become Green Together and 30 bursaries for Carbon Literacy training.

Tees Valley Community Foundation are providing 15 bursaries for organisations in the Tees Valley area to take part in Become Green Together.

Inspire South Tyneside are providing bursaries for 10 small organisations in the South Tyneside area to take part in Become Green Together.
