Going Green Together launched

This Going Green Together campaign is the first VONNE Climate Action Alliance (VCAA) initiative to support the North East VCSE sector towards Net Zero.

The VONNE Climate Action Alliance received funding in July from the National Lottery Community Fund and Catalyst Development programme to work with SIDE Labs to develop a new web-based engagement and advice tool to help VCSE organisations in the North East take their first steps in taking climate action within their organisations and to learn more about the climate emergency. This tool was created in direct response to a large amount of user research and testing with VCSE organisations which showed that their priorities were learning more and getting advice on initial steps they can take.

This Going Green Together campaign is the first VONNE Climate Action Alliance (VCAA) initiative to support the North East VCSE sector towards Net Zero. We hope that the tool will be useful and engage a large number of organisations across the region to take those first steps and join our network.

The VCAA has plans and is currently seeking funding for a wider programme of support which can then be offered to organisations which will include events, workshops and training sessions, the development of resources and toolkits, access to the Investors in the Environment framework and SmartCarbon carbon calculator which will provide organisations with the support they need to continue and grow their work in this area.
