VCSE organisations can claim funding to support environmental activities via County Durham Community Foundation

County Durham Community Foundation has released a new £3500 grant scheme to help local voluntary and community organisations adapt to the demands of the climate crisis.

The Going Green Together Fund can be used towards costs to embed sustainability across an organisation and undertake green projects, including staffing costs. To be eligible, organisations first need to apply to join Become Green Together.

Become Green Together is a programme providing environmental consultation. This means that participants will have all the guidance they need in how to set up and embed a sustainability strategy, and undertake impactful climate action projects.

The Going Green Together fund will also be immensely helpful for freeing up the time and resources to work through the programme and apply the knowledge participants gain to their workplaces.

Become Green Together closes for final applications on the 30th September. You can apply through the Going Green Together website. Applications to CDCF’s grant can be made through their website.
