Grey and long

Well, there are still restrictions but salons have been allowed to open since mid-July, much to the relief of the many people who struggled without their regular visits to the hairdresser. (And much to the relief of said hairdressers and salon owners.) Some of my pals have had two haircuts since the restrictions were eased, whereas I’ve yet to venture across the salon threshold…

As a result, my hair’s probably the longest it’s been since I was in my teens. I very rarely wear it down but I thought I’d take a few snaps before I scraped it back into it’s usual messy nest or scraggly pony tail, just so’s I could show my fellow ‘going grey disgracefully’ chums how very grey I now am! Because I’ve not had it cut for ages, there’s still plenty of dye left— so my ponytail still has an auburn tinge. It’s all a bit odd looking!

One side of my head seems to be getting whiter by the day, the other side seems to be getting darker. Which has it’s advantages — if ever I go to another fancy dress party dressed as Cruella, I’ll definitely not need to dig out the wig…
