If you’re a fan of playing AAA Windows games, going pro might not look like a viable option. I mean, there’s no way to run games like Bioshock on an iPad Pro, right?

Turns out, the answer is yes! Cloud Gaming is a technology that’s getting closer to full maturity every day, and a lot of that technology runs on iPad. The idea is instead of installing a game on your iPad, you install a streaming application that streams a game running in a virtual machine in the cloud.

If this will work for you will depend on a few factors. The bandwidth and latency performance of your internet connection, the quality of your router (5GHz minimum), the availability of a cloud provider geographically close to you, what kind of games you play and how you play them.

In the end, the only way to know if it will work for you is to give it a try! You can get started for less than $10, and the potential gain is huge! Games running at >3000px resolution, 60fps, maximum graphical settings. And especially, never having to buy a PC or dealing with it getting out of date.
