The Temporary Shutdown by Gokada and All You Need To Know
The temporary shutdown in operations announced by our CEO, Fahim Saleh here on his medium account has raised a good number of concerns and questions. Loyal customers have reached out via our social media platforms egging us on to keep the good work and anticipating our return. In the meantime, we have collated questions and are responding to popular ones as regards this temporary break. 1. Is Gokada really shutting down finally?
ANSWER: Not at all. The shutdown is temporary as Gokada will only be off from Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 and will be back fully on Monday, August 26th, 2019. Save the date!
2. What is the reason for this break?
ANSWER: As industry disruptors, we have taken a few steps backward to retrain all our pilots so that each of them would deliver world-class customer satisfaction. We are sorry for the inconvenience this break might cause our loyal customers as we are working on changing the motorcycle taxi game.
3. What should the customers expect from Gokada 2.0?
ANSWER: Gokada 2.0 promises to deliver the best bike-hailing experience Lagos has ever seen!

4. What kind of training will the pilot be receiving?
ANSWER: The major reason we are going on this break is to retrain our pilots as well as offer them great benefits that will make them happy while on the job. In turn, we would produce drivers who have exceptional customer service, great hygiene, smooth driving skills, and GPS navigation sense all to serve you better.
5. Where would be the place of safety in Gokada 2.0?
ANSWER: Gokada will return with higher safety measures in place. The plan is to achieve a zero-incidence target in our operations. There will be an increased focus on the strictest adherence to speed limits and traffic laws. We would be deploying better and stronger advanced real-time trackers to track incident rates and driver activities while on a trip. We want you to know that we always have your best interest at heart.
6. What else should we expect from Gokada 2.0 Pilots?
ANSWER: Brand new bikes for smoother and more comfortable rides, courteous pilots, Faster ETA, safe rides, more comfortable seats and a wholesome experience that would make you ditch other means of moving around the city.
