New features on the Gokada App: All you need to know.

Pooling Deliveries

If you made an order in the past week, you would have noticed we have provided you with even more options.

Don’t know what we are talking about? It is now possible to choose between Express delivery and Pooling delivery on the app.

What is the difference between express and pooling?

The express delivery is the traditional delivery Gokada started with where you are assigned a single pilot to make your delivery exclusively. Express delivery tends to be completed quickly as a result of having a dedicated pilot assigned to you.

Pooling delivery matches you with pilots heading in the same direction, so you can share the cost of the deliveries with other Gokadians who also have parcels to be delivered at the same direction. Pooling delivery saves you a cost of up to 30% and still gets your orders delivered on time.

Make same-day deliveries at smart costs. Your GPilot can carry both small and large items when you choose to pool.

How to pick Pool Delivery on the app

Log in to your Gokada app

Enter your pick up details

Select your category

Select between instant and pool deliveries once you add in your pick up details and a pilot will be automatically assigned to you.

You can pool your orders together with other orders that are within the same location while paying only 70% of the full price.

A longer pick-up time will not be required and with pooling, you can still track your pilot to ensure your order gets to its destination safely

Virtual Wallet

To increase your flexibility when making payments for deliveries, we have put in a virtual wallet on the app. Our virtual wallet originally started with the Gokada Business platform. We have now taken a step further to introduce it to the original gokada app. You now have three options to choose from when paying for your deliveries

Pay by Cash, Pay by Card and Pay by Wallet

With Pay by Wallet, you can top up your account with a virtual wallet by loading your preferred amount using your debit card and start requesting pilots

The wallet helps you save time and comes in handy whenever you are on the go. Every time you choose Pay by Wallet, your fare is automatically deducted online and you only need to top up when it’s low.

More payment options allows you the opportunity to plan your deliveries just how you want it.

Say goodbye to looking for change whenever the pilot arrives to pick-up your order.

GShop Access

We have integrated the Gokada app with the GShop app. You can visit the GShop app directly from Gokada anytime you feel like and order your meals.

What is GShop?

GShop is our online on-demand food delivery platform that connects you with different restaurants across Lagos and ensures your meals are delivered safely and on time.

How much should I top up on my wallet?

You can top up as much as you feel like. There is no minimum or maximum amount that the wallet accepts.

Can I still track my GPilot when using pool deliveries?

Yes, you can track your order. A link will be sent to you via email. Alternatively, you can track your pilot using the app.
