Found on so many profiles, this list is repetitive, with the number of other writers also offering it. (Updated: 2022-Sep-20)

(👀Pre-scheduled for release@ 2022-Sep-21, 02:21 GMT-7)🕐

FYI: we’ve all seen the number from “TOP 1 percenter writers” with their own lists.

Now, something you should know first before I start:

the Metric system indicates a thousand by the letter “k” not “K”

OKAY!

Now, moving on; I will list current numbers for all 73 … Top Writer Tags I know about about. There may be more … I just never got around to “designing the page script or extension” which allows me to harvest data pertinent to ALL Medium tags that have at least 50 Top Writers assigned or more associated with them.

Plus, there is a story threshold, associated with tags, I’ve gathered, which can lead to a tag earning a Top Writer nod from the Medium User Experience (UX) designers.

Oh; just a quick note; but, after all the work I just did for you, have a look …

NO ⭐ “Member-only” story indication !

Why do that? Well, I know people and I know their nature.
Besides, I want people to just copy this and develop their own ,
plus learn to do research too.

Alright; now one more thing before listing all the tags and their numbers.
Each tag will be listed in the fashion: ## (##) — ##

Now, do you see I do not intend on even indicating k or K.
There’s no freak-in need!

We’re talking about thousands across the board anyway, okay.

FYI:

The first ## preceding the “ — ”will show current story number;
it being the most important one; plus, know the numbers have grown over the last few months (now being 2022-September end).

The next ## following the “ — ” will show all the writers.

There; simple as that!

Remember: focus on the first number.
But don’t forget how the second affects your chances,
ideally a lower ## is better is both categories, i.e. stories and writers.

NOTE: In many “frequent pick” tags, stories have increased 5 or 10 to 50k.
Plus, if I insert a number in parentheses, that is the previous story ## that indicates the Topic tag isn’t getting used much.

I, personally, believe Writing Tips now qualifies as a Top Writer tag. However, it remains to be seen if Medium will issue any Top Writer badges to “above par or excellent writers” in this category.

Presently, I only note 10 writer IDs in Top Writer column. The tag does appear to qualify for designation, given the quantity for stories and writers, along with current story numbers still being published.

If you believe you find any others, please let me know.

Top Writer (TW) Badge Qualifiers:

All three following must be present, i.e. 1 + 2 + 3 = TW.

  1. Stories in tag assignment exceeding 17 or 19k ;
  2. Writers in tag assignment exceeding 10 or 13k; and,
  3. There exist a minimum 10, 25 or 40 quality writers, to a maximum 50 assigned Top Writer Badge qualifiers.

You must, like others, value your time; so, now here is this extra rhyme.
Appreciate you, I sincerely do; please, take these words away with you.
It may not always be evident, nor even kindly so outright apparent.
I simply pray, as I say namaste, that you my kind friend, have a great day.
