As you’ll learn by speaking to Larinna outside the Taverns, or by checking out the Special Events column of the Season One Tab in the Pirate Log, there’s a low key fishing event going on from February 25th to March 18th. Participating players can earn several new Fishing Rod cosmetics as well as unique Titles.

For help with the mechanics of fishing and how to catch different kinds of fish, check out our original Guide to Fishing here

  • Weekly Challenges-

Rewards: Gold Hoarder/Order of Souls/Merchant’s Alliance Fishing Rods and Exclusive Title

Larinna’s Voyages

Larinna the Bilge Rat (standing right outside the tavern door on every outpost) will offer a different voyage each week of this event sending players on a brief fishing challenge in a different region.

The Reward for Completing this Voyage is Completing one of each week’s “Weekly Challenges”

Each voyage follows the same structure, but takes place in a different region:

Step 1: Seek the Seapost

Voting on the voyage will put a note from Larinna in your quest inventory, telling you to sail to a particular seapost to find your fishing maps.

  • Shores of Plenty Voyage: with Serik on North Star Seapost
  • Ancient Isles Voyage: with Merrick on Stephen’s Spoils
  • Devil’s Roar Voyage: with Aifrick on Roaring Traders

Step 2: Grab the Map Parchment

Talking to this NPC will give basic information about fishing and the kind of fish they want you to catch, but in order to continue, you must pick up the map parchment on the shop table at the back of the Seapost.

In order to continue, you must pick up the map parchment on the shop table at the back of the Seapost

Picking up this parchment will put 4 pages in your quest inventory. One is a note simply reminding you which fish to catch and what bait they require, and the other three are Maps to islands.

Step 3: Catch Fish from the marked Maps

On each of the three island Maps, there is a circled “fishing area”. Travel to this spot, and fish up the requested fish from that specific spot in order to “complete” that part of the voyage. Once all three maps are completed, the voyage itself is complete.

  • Shores of Plenty: catch Plentifins using Earthworms as bait
  • Ancient Isles: catch Ancient Scales using Leeches as bait
  • Devil’s Roar: catch Devilfish using Grubs as bait
