Larinna is offering an exclusive voyage to pirates that have uncovered secrets in the Sunken Kingdom. This voyage is deeply mysterious, and comes at a great cost… are you willing to face the dangers and uncover the truth?

Our guide will help you on the path to completing this Voyage and unlocking its Reward.

How To Unlock The Voyage

Purchasing this voyage from Larinna outside any Outpost Tavern requires completing the Mysteries of the Sunken Kingdom Commendation. To do so, you’ll need to visit all SIX Siren Shrines and find all 30 hidden journals (5 per Shrine). For help completing this, check out our Guide to Siren Shrines!

Completing the Voyage

You can purchase the voyage from Larinna outside of any Outpost Tavern for 50 Doubloons. Once purchased, you can vote on your map table like any other voyage.

Step 1: Follow the Golden Wayfinder

  • When you start the Voyage you will be given some Story Notes and a Golden Wayfinder. This compass appears in your Quest Inventory, and will point you in the direction of an island, and when close, a location to dig. At this point you’ll dig up the Forbidden Coral Chest
  • The Wayfinder will reset to a new location, which you’ll once again have to sail to and dig up a spot. Here you’ll find the Scholar’s Notes, which will appear in your Quest inventory and tell you to sail to the Shrine of Hungering. The Wayfinder will also point the way

Step 2: The Shrine of Hungering

  • As the Scholar’s Note describes, deep inside the Shrine of Hungering you will find a Gold Hoarder Coin whose position is given away by a trail of golden coins, and you’ll need to use this coin to open a Door marked with a Gold Hoarder Coin Symbol.
  • Specifically, the trail of gold coins can be found after raising the water level and climbing up the Shrine. It will lead to the Gold Hoarder Coin sitting on the spine and rib cage that you walk under
  • The other end of the coin trail should lead you to the doorway that the Coin unlocks, it is slightly higher up the path beyond where you found the coin. There will be a pedestal on the right to insert the coin, causing a stone door to open and reveal a Forbidden Key and more of the Scholar’s Notes. If the door closes before you can retrieve the prize, the pedestal should be interactable to open it again.
  • Insert the Key into your Forbidden Coral Chest, and then follow the notes, which will point you to the Shrine of Ocean’s Fortune

Step 3: The Shrine of Ocean’s Fortune

  • Traverse through the Shrine until you reach high up in the highest point of the top chamber. The gold coin trail should lead you to the Gold Hoarder Coin, and the doorway to open is at the very top after hopping across the crow’s nest in the center.
  • Once again you’ll discover a Forbidden Key to insert into the chest, and a page of the Scholar’s Notes, which will point you to the final Shrine: the Shrine of Ancient Tears

Step 4: The Shrine of Ancient Tears

  • If you only seek to complete this voyage, you won’t have to explore the entire Shrine to do so. Simply find the gold coin trail in the large square main chamber, and find your way to the Gold Hoarder Coin.
  • The Coin opens a door down on the ground level of this square chamber, in the SOUTHEAST corner. Inside, you will find a final Forbidden Key, the last one needed to open the Forbidden Chest. Once opened, inside you will find the Mysterious Stone Key

Step 5: Use the Mysterious Stone Key

  • Just outside this final Gold Hoarder door panel, in the SOUTHEAST corner of the main square chamber, is a stone table with a triangular hole in the center. Insert the Mysterious Stone Key here.
  • This will open the doorway nearby behind the waterfall, on the EAST wall. Inside, you’ll find a final Journal to read next to the skeletal remains, and doing so will complete this long voyage once and for all!
  • If the doors to this room close, don’t panic! There is a switch on the left wall (facing the door) that will open it again.

Reward:

Finding your way into this acursed chamber was sure to bring some bad luck, and in fact, it unlocks a curse! The Curse of Sunken Sorrow is now equippable from your Vanity Chest- Congratulations!

Top Tips!

  • If your Forbidden Chest or any of your Forbidden Keys are lost or despawned for any reason, the voyage will be FAILED and you’ll have to start again!
  • You’re better off lugging that chest with you down into the Shrines than leaving it unattended on your ship, just in case any nearby pirates get any feisty ideas
  • You do NOT have to fully complete the three shrines to progress! Once you’ve got the Forbidden Key from each one, you’re able to move on as soon as you’d like
  • Don’t forget, if you need help navigating these Siren Shrines, check out our Guide to Siren Shrines for a lot more details!
