Black Market goods and Thanksgiving Themed Emporium pieces!
The November “Seabound Soul” Update continues to supply new in game cosmetics. Update 2.0.9, running from November 20th to December 11th, brings new items to the Outpost Shops, Duke’s Black Market, and the Pirate Emporium- check out the full breakdown below!
Outpost Shops
- Now permanently stocking Glorious Sea Dogs and Triumphant Sea Dogs cosmetics, including clothing, equipment, weapons, and ship cosmetics.
- The Glorious Sea Dogs set is locked behind commendations relating to the Sea Dog Trading Company, and includes several new items.
- The brand new Triumphant Sea Dogs set are tied to new Sea Dog commendations, rewarding certain feats whilst equipped with Glorious Sea Dogs items.
The Seabound Soul Rewards
For completing the new Tall Tale ‘Seabound Soul’, pirates will be rewarded with two new cosmetics.
- The first completion earns you the Sword of Souls.
- The third completion, and managing to find all the hidden journals during a single playthrough of the Tall Tale, will net you the Ashen Dragon sails.

Ashen Treasures Rewards
Added to the various shops and as a tab under The Bilge Rats when talking to Stitcher Jim, is the beginning of the Ashen Dragon cosmetic set. For now, this set contains a few items, some immediately available to purchase, and the rest locked behind Ashen Treasures commendations.

Duke’s Black Market
Duke has left his post… and Stitcher Jim is in his place? Don’t worry, the Black Market remains open (accessed by talking to Jim in any Tavern where you spawn in) and as usual, is restocked with a host of new items. They are semi-time-limited to this update, but will return from the vault again someday!
Doubloons
Bilge Rat Doubloons are a Black Market exclusive currency, earned by completing event challenges or selling rare loot to the tavern Bilge Rat. Here’s a collection of guides on previous events and which rewards you can still earn.
Recurring Stock
With Doubloons, you can purchase bags of regular gold, and “Letters of Recommendation” which increase Reputation one level in any of the five trading companies. For Doubloons or Gold, there are special “Stash Voyages”, which are a fast (but expensive!) way to quickly unearth a Ritual Skull (to activate the Fort of the Damned) or Ashen Chest (for Ashen Treasures rewards).

The Pirate Emporium
The Pirate Emporium contains exclusive cosmetic items, including Pets, new Emotes, and more, but only accepts Ancient Coins, a premium (real world money) currency.
You can find the Emporium shop in the upper right of the front end Main Menu, on outposts in Adventure Mode above the Order of Souls booth, and at a desk in the Arena’s Sea Dogs Tavern.
Ancient Coins
Ancient Coins can be acquired in two ways:
- Purchased using real world currency from the Emporium menu:
2. Earned by defeating the rare “Ancient Skeleton” found in game. This skeleton has a small chance of rising from the ground in both Adventure and Arena mode, and will immediately turn and run away. After some time it will return to the Earth and you’ll have missed out- but if you manage to kill it you’ll earn a random amount of Ancient Coins (roughly 100 all the way to 600 Ancient Coins!)
Pets
The Pirate Emporium is the only place to purchase piratey animal companions, which include Monkeys (Capuchins, Barbaries, and the newly added Marmosets) and Parrots (Macaws, Parakeets, and the recent addition of Cockatoos), each in a variety of colors. Once you purchase a pet you can access a selection of pet outfits.

Pets are accessed from the “Pet Chest” found on the ship and outside the Emporium shop. From there you can select one pet, their outfit, and input a name for your Pet (which can be changed as many times as you want!). The pet will wander the ship and follow you to shore, sharing in your adventure like a member of your crew!
Themed Sets
This month introduces seasonal themed sets, and the first instrument cosmetics you can pay for. This month’s theme is the “Festival of Plenty”, and is based around American Thanksgiving.
As well as the Hurdy-Gurdy, Concertina, Drum, and Banjo skins, you can purchase an Outfit of Plenty for each of the Pet types.

Sourced by the Carrington Institute of Pirate Ship Design, this ship pays homage to Rare’s Perfect Dark IP.
Cutthroat Ship
This set is a sharp homage to Rare’s Killer Instinct IP, with Fulgore themed figure head and iconography, as well as KI logos embedded throughout
Bear & Bird Ship
This set pays tribute to Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie IP in not-so puzzling fashion! Music notes and jigsaw pieces adorn the ship, with the iconic duo as the figurehead

Emotes are actions for your pirate to express themselves with. You can equip 8 emotes per Emote Radial (times three pages of radials)- to equip and change them you go to the Emotes Tab in the Vanity Chest
