October Shopper’s Guide
All the treats you can expect to find this spooky season on the Seas
On October 28th, the Fate of the Damned update was released, and as usual it brought with it a range of new cosmetic items to buy in the Pirate Emporium and Bilge Rat Black Market.
Quick Look: What’s Time Limited?
The following items or discounts are only available for the duration of the September update (until the next update launches in mid-late October):
- Skeletal Pets: Skeleton Mau and Alsatian joins the returning Skeleton Cockatoo and Marmoset. A bundle of the new Cat and Dog are available, as well as a bundle of the returning Parrot and Monkey, and a bundle of all four petrified pets.
- Free Emote: The Lantern Dance Emote is only available as a free pickup in the Pirate Emporium during this update, and then will be removed from the shop completely
- Black Market Discount: newly added items in Duke’s Black Market are at reduced prices, and will move to Duke’s Black Market Archive next update at increased prices. This includes the Wild Rose Instrument set and the Aristocrat Clothing set
Everything New In…
The Quick Look above shows every item that’s Time Limited in nature, but that’s not all that’s been added in the Fate of the Damned update!
1. Outpost Shops
- Available from the Shipwright Shops, you can now find the long-missing pieces of the Shark Hunter Ship Set! Cannons, Capstan, and Wheel.
2. Bilge Rat Black Market
Located just outside the tavern, talk to Larinna to access her shop. The Black Market includes new items that are discounted, as well as an “Archive” of previous month’s items for full price. Some cost Bilge Rat Doubloons, and others cost Gold.
Desirables for Doubloons: Wild Rose Instrument Set, Aristocrat Clothing Set
Fated Fortune Challenge rewards: Soulflame Lantern, Soulflame Weapon Set, Face of Fear Facepaint, Soulflame Captain and Crew Costume Set (Exclusive to Pirate Legends only)
NOTE: the “Captain and Crew Costume Set” is a new feature for the game. If ONE player purchases this item, it grants them access to a “Captain Costume” for that set, and it grants all of their crewmates access to different “Crew Costumes” for the same set. Now your crew can match styles with unique outfits in a set, with only one crew member needing to purchase the set!
3. The Pirate Emporium
The Pirate Emporium is the premium transaction store where real money can be exchanged for bundles of in-game currency called “Ancient Coins”.
As of this update, players can toggle between their local currency and Ancient Coins.
The store is found on the main menu or in game above the Order of Souls vendors on Outposts. It sells unique items such as: Pets, Pet Outfits, Emotes, the Pirate Appearance Changing Potion, as well as exclusive premium Ship Sets and other Limited Cosmetic Items.
