Who let the Dogs out?
With the latest update to Sea of Thieves, Vaults of the Ancients, we’ve got the round up on all the new, discount, and time limited in-game Cosmetics. Dog Warning: This includes DOGS. BARK.
Quick Look: What’s Time Limited?
The following items or discounts are only available for the duration of the September update (until the next update launches in mid-late October):
- Hunters of the Deep Event Bundle: This temporary bundle includes the pieces of the Shrouded Ghost Ship Set that were NOT made available through the Hunters of the Deep Event, at a discounted price. Every piece of the set will remain available for sale.
- Free Emote: The Dog Dance Emote is only available as a free pickup in the Pirate Emporium during this update, and then will be removed from the shop completely
- Alsatian Sovereign Bundle: This bundle contains a Saddleback Alsatian and a Sovereign Outfit to dress your pet in, only available at this price for the duration of Vaults of the Ancients
- Black Market Discount: newly added items in Duke’s Black Market are at reduced prices, and will move to Duke’s Black Market Archive next update at increased prices. This includes the Wild Rose equipment items and Inky Kraken accessories.

The Quick Look above shows every item that’s Time Limited in nature, but that’s not all that’s been added in the Vaults of the Ancients update!
1. Outpost Shops
- Available from the Shipwright Shops are two new Ship Sails tied to commendations involving the new Golden Wayfinder voyages.

2. Bilge Rat Black Market
Located just outside the tavern, Larinna is now managing the Bilge Rats while Duke takes a break. The Black Market shop remains however, and includes new items that are discounted, as well as an “Archive” of previous month’s items for full price. Some cost Bilge Rat Doubloons, and others cost Gold.

3. The Pirate Emporium
The Pirate Emporium is the premium transaction store where real money can be exchanged for bundles of in-game currency called “Ancient Coins”.
As of this update, players can toggle between their local currency and Ancient Coins.
The store is found on the main menu or in game above the Order of Souls vendors on Outposts. It sells unique items such as: Pets, Pet Outfits, Emotes, the Pirate Appearance Changing Potion, as well as exclusive premium Ship Sets and other Limited Cosmetic Items.
- Dogs!- Three new breeds of dog join the Emporium permanently- the Alsatian, Inu, and Whippet
- Alsatian Sovereign Bundle- A reduced price bundle of the Saddleback Alsatian dog and their Sovereign outfit (time limited availability)
- Pet Trio Bundles- Dogs can be bought in a bundle of one of each of the three breeds and a specific costume for that breed
- Dog Outfits- no pet is complete without a precious piece of purchasable paraphernalia! The Kraken, Ghost, Bilge Rat, Sovereign, and Pirate Legend outfits are purchasable alongside your furry friends
- Shrouded Ghost Hunter Costume Set- Only available as a bundle, these two costumes are based on the look of the Shrouded Ghost Hunter Ship Set
- Shrouded Ghost Hunter Blunderbuss- shoot Megalodons in style with this, the least effective firearm for shooting Megalodons!
- Shrouded Ghost Hunter Ship Set- after some parts could be earned through the event hub previously, the ship in its entirety has been added to the Emporium, adding in the Cannons, Capstan and Wheel, as well as Collector Variants of the Figurehead and Sails
- Hunter’s Call Emote Bundle- role play as your favorite Hunter’s Call NPCs with these four salty new emotes
Monthly Bundle
With each content update a new bundle is offered through the Microsoft Store Page and the Steam Store Page.
This month the Dog Days Bundle, Bilge Dog Bundle, and Shrouded Ghost Hunter Bundle are available.
